MMP Upcoming Events
Youth Mentoring Day at the State House
The Third Annual Youth Mentoring Day at the State House is on Jan. 28, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year's theme is "Support Mentoring. Change Lives!" Supported by the Massachusetts Service Alliance, the event features keynote speaker Suffolk County Sheriff Andrea Cabral and will honor legislators for their continued support of mentoring. This is a fantastic opportunity for programs to network with each other, meet with legislators and advocate for their organizations. For questions regarding Youth Mentoring Day, please contact Alison Drew at adrew@massmentors.org or by phone at 617-695-2475.

Mentors' Day to Play
Current and potential mentors are invited to be special guests of the Young Professional Society of Greater Springfield and MMP at Theodores' Booze, Blues and BBQ, 201 Worthington St., Springfield, on Jan. 15, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. This social event will include food, a cash bar, music and some terrific raffle prizes! RSVP by e-mailing social@springfieldyps.com.

The Challenge
A shortage of volunteers means thousands of kids are on waiting lists for mentors across Massachusetts. To help bridge the gap, Mass Mentoring Partnership has teamed up with the Boston Red Sox for another year of the Red Sox Mentoring Challenge. Click here to learn more.
