For the fourth consecutive year, New England's World Champion Nose Tackle Vince Wilfork has teamed up with Mass Mentoring Partnership and Safety Insurance WBCN Patriots Rock Radio Network to ensure that young people are connected to caring adult mentors.
Once again, as a part of this initiative, Vince, his wife Bianca, and Safety Insurance WBCN Patriots Rock Radio Network are extending an invitation to mentor/mentee matches in the MMP Network to attend a home game this season as their special guests. We will select one match to attend each regular season home game.
To be considered as Vince's "Match of the Game" for the 2008-09 season, programs must submit a match story. The story should contain compelling information about the match, i.e., the length of the relationship, desire to experience a Patriots game; improved academic standings by the youth; pitfalls avoided and obstacles overcome as a result of the relationship with the mentor, etc.
Through this program, there may be opportunities for your organization to gain exposure. We will be sharing match stories and game photos with community newspapers and cataloguing stories for future use with various media outlets.
The season has started; time is ticking, so get your stories in today! To be selected for a game, please submit the following documents to lbritt@massmentors.org or fax to Liz at 617-695-2435 by August 12.

2. PhotoRelease. One signed by mentor and one signed by mentee’s legal guardian. (If you have recently sent in a match story(within the last year) or photo release please email Liz, lbritt@massmentors.org and let her know you would like that match story considered)
We will announce ALL matches that have been selected to participate in the 2008 Match of the Game by September 2.
Programs whose match is selected for the September 7 game will be notified immediately. Match stories previously submitted but not recognized (e.g., ceremonial first pitches or other events) will be considered. Just let us know your submissions are on file. Moving forward, we will keep all match stories on file so that they can be considered for future events and opportunities.
