Rodman Ride for Kids 2008
The Ride is accepting funds through Nov. 2008! It's not to late to support MMP.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, a beautiful and sunny fall day, more than 1,000 cyclists and hundreds of volunteers participated in the Rodman Ride for Kids. The Ride continues to be MMP’s largest annual fundraiser, and this year, we were able to reach our goal of raising $225,000, which will be matched with an additional 15 percent from the Rodman Ride.
Cyclists set out on a 20-, 50-, or 100-mile ride to raise money for more than 20 children’s charities across Massachusetts.
Liberty Mutual was once again the presenting sponsor of the Ride and directed a portion of its sponsorship to MMP. The Liberty team fielded almost 30 riders and raised close to $10,000 for our agency. Additionally, Bank of America and Ernst and Young fielded teams that rode for MMP.
MMP staff member Felipe Suarez participated in the Ride for the first time this year and impressively completed the 50-mile course. In addition to his physical training, Felipe raised close to $1,500 for MMP. Congratulations Felipe!
