Building a Quality Program Using Elements of Effective Practice
A two day intensive training so that your youth mentoring program is developed, operated, and sustained at the highest level of quality based on the Elements of Effective Practice, the nationally recognized research-driven practices in the field. The training focuses on program development, including models and structures; the definition of mentoring; using research as a guide for establishing program practices; setting goals and objectives; assessing community needs and setting goals to meet the need; program management and general policies and procedures; core operational practices such as mentor screening, support, and recruitment; and program evaluation.
This training will benefit staff involved in the start-up of a new mentoring program as well as programs seeking to align their practices with the most up-to-date best practices in the field.
Registration Fee: $150.00 for the first person from an organization;
$105.00 for each additional participant on the same date.
Fee includes continental breakfast and lunch both days.
